My mantra has always been: set a big goal, layout a plan, work hard to get there. There are no impossibles.
That drive led me to accomplish several goals such as completing multiple marathons, ultras, ironmans, and more.
But when Covid hit in 2020, I struggled with motivation, clarity and purpose. I felt stuck.
Waking up early in the morning was hard. It was difficult to look forward to being productive and to be my best.
I was setting goals for myself that I would later stop working towards to. I was not consistent. I was way too distracted and frustrated with social media and the news. I would skip workouts and tasks because I was not "feeling like it"
I wanted to get back on track, so I would start, then quit to start again...and quit again. Self-discipline was non-existent.
I'd ask myself "how do I make myself do the work again?" I would constantly doubt myself on whether I'd still "got it". The self negative talk was constant and loud.

So I rolled up my sleeves and started waking up early to meditate, reading and learning ways to improve my mindset and habits and self-discipline.
Little by little I started creating a routine and framework to help me start my day proactively and not reactively.
A routine to become more productive and more consistent with my workouts.
A routine to get rid of mental blocks. A routine to start new habits.
Today, I now start my days with intention. I feel that each day I'm on a mission to be my best. I am more disciplined. I am more grateful.

I was struggling to put together a program that could help me get back on track with my cycling training and racing in 2021. When I started working with Hugo, he created a clear roadmap that guided me through the months of training. He also created a routine that helped me balance my demanding job and family responsibilities with my training. I also learned a series of systems and exercises that helped me incorporate good habits and be more self-accountable and disciplined. As a result, I've been able to not only be more consistent with my training, but also got rid of the extra weight that was affecting my training. As an experienced cyclist, I knew the training that I was supposed to do. But despite having a clear plan to follow I just couldn’t make myself do the workouts. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out what was stopping me, why I wouldn't stick to my plan.
