Episode 20: RACHEL JOYCE | When Triathlon Makes You Braver, Bolder, Stronger

My guest this week is the great Rachel Joyce

Rachel is a professional triathlete with an incredible career who’s won so many races, including Challenge Roth(Germany), Ironman Texas, Ironman Boulder and more.

Rachel has also been a top contender at the Hawaiian Ironman World Championships for the last several years.  She’s placed 2nd twice and has finished top ten several times.

Rachel took a break from racing this year to focus on starting Brave, Bolder, Stronger a series of workshops and retreats where she plans to bring the transformative powers of triathlon style training to help strong women to break through, thrive, and lead by example. It’s a really cool concept. She will talk about this in more detail during this conversation.

We also talked about her growing up in the UK, her swimming background, how she started doing triathlons and how she transitioned from working as a layer to pursue a career as a pro-triathlete full-time.

Rachel also remembers the early years of her career (which were not easy), almost winning the Hawaiian ironman in 2013 and her 2017 season which included doing 4 ironman races in a period of 4 months
