  • The corona virus is not an excuse for not running. Well, at least it's not for this runner who managed to complete 41 miles running in circles at home. On another occasion, this same person covered 30 kilometers in his bathroom...what?!..that's the spirit!
  • Have you tried doing planks to improve your core? Click here to learn how to execute a proper plank
  • What to eat before your run? Here are some suggestions on what to eat before heading out for your runs. Although it doesn't mention for what type of runs, I assume that these recommendations are for mid to long distances, otherwise I wouldn't consider eating a burrito 2 hours before heading out!

  • Are You Winning The Day? At CHASKIS we recently finished the January Challenge(we'll have more soon!). My biggest takeaway from this month-long experience has been to start building the habit of getting up early and visualize having a great day. Check out this article with some good advice on things you can do to start your day the right way. I personally do #1, #2, #3 and #6 (I'm gonna add #7 soon!)
  • A "new" Conor McGregor? I'm not an MMA fan but I recently heard about Conor McGregor's "comeback" defeating his opponent in only 40 secs..that's insane! Apparently, McGregor has been working with Tony Robbins for the last year, and apparently, that experience helped change his mindset. Here's a cool conversation between Robbins and McGregor that helps you understand where Conor is coming from and what he's learning from Robbins.
  • Journaling to improve...your life? Interesting article on how the practice of journaling can help increase mindfulness, reduce stress, increase self-confidence, etc. I personally do a 5-minute journaling twice a day (one in the morning and one at night). I've found that journaling in the morning helps me set my day with intention and with clarity on what I want to achieve. Journaling at the end of the day helps me to appreciate what I achieved during the last 24 hours, be grateful and get exited about the next day. Here is some simple advice on how to get started

  • Riding 200 miles in the middle of Kansas. I recently got picked to do one of my all-time bucket list races. It's called the Dirty Kanza, a 200-mile gravel race that takes place in Emporia, Kansas. 4 months until race day, better start training! Here is one of my favorite videos about this race. CAN'T WAIT!
  • Making long runs much easier. Training for a marathon? Or are you increasing your milage? Long runs can feel daunting sometimes. Here are some practical tips on how to make long runs feel way easier. I'm personally planning to use tip #4 on my next race!
  • Remembering Kobe. I've never been a basketball fan. I was familiar with Kobe Bryant, but all I knew was that he once played for the Lakers. This interview made me have a better appreciation for him.
  • Remember this commercial? Inspiring, beautiful and sad. An "Adidas" commercial that wasn't made by Adidas
